The Aspects

This chart is different than any of the others. Rather than describe the potential characteristics and energies involved in a specific number, this chart describes the potential relation between two numbers. This relation is called an aspect.

This aspect chart indicates the potential harmony or discord of the energies involved. The person's life may be harmonious or discordant depending on (1) whether he expresses the aspect potential, rises above the aspect potential or falls below the aspect potential, (2) the use of his free will, and (3) the environment in which he finds himself.

See Chapter 7, page 49, for further discussion of the use of this chart.

Since 11 is the higher octave of 2, wherever 11 energy is involved, read both the 11 and 2 aspects.

Since 22 is the higher octave of 4, wherever 22 energy is involved, read both the 22 and 4 aspects.

The aspects are described on the page related to the lower number of the aspect. For instance, the 5-3 aspect (which is the same as the 3-5 aspect) would be found on the 3 page of the chart under the 3-5 heading.

The "usual" description of the aspect appears directly below each aspect heading. Sometimes, in parentheses below the usual description you'll find descriptions divergent from the "usual" description.

2 • 1 Usually DISCORDANT

2 • 2 Usually VERY DISCORDANT

Meddling busybody, adding confusion rather than harmony to a situation.

Difficulty in finding fulfilling place in a group. Little patience with details or with people. Possibly withdrawn, shy and retiring. Possible approach to alleviate difficulties: the individual must work to learn system and organization.

(Sometimes, the 3 expresses through frivolous activity and a dilettante's approach which may conflict with the potential of the 2 for cooperation.)

2«3 Usually HARMONIOUS

The potential of the 2 for cooperating and harmonizing is enhanced by the social awareness of the 3.

2-4 Usually HARMONIOUS

The potential of the 2 for cooperation and harmonizing is enhanced by the potential of the 4 for system and order.

(Sometimes the potential for harmonizing of the 2 is stifled by the comparative fixity of approach of the 4.)

2'5 Usually DISCORDANT

The potential of the 2 for cooperating and harmonizing conflicts with the strong per sonal desire for freedom and the state of flux of the 5.

2'6 Usually HARMONIOUS

The potential of the 2 for cooperating is considerably enhanced by the potential of the 6 for responsibility. The 6's ability to show friendship, affection and love provides a very positive side to this combination.

(The 2-6 individual must take responsibility for himself as well as others. He should not be reduced to a doormat because of his desire to help others fulfill themselves.)

2*7 Usually DISCORDANT

The potential of the 2 for cooperating and harmonizing conflicts with the introspective potential of the 7. The 7's appearance of being "different" makes it difficult for the 7 to work well in groups most of ¿he time.

(Sometimes, the introspective potential of the 7 is suppressed and the potential to share wisdom and knowledge is expressed instead. This enhances the potential of the 2 for working together with others.)

2-8 Usually DISCORDANT

The potential of the 2 for cooperating and harmonizing conflicts with the executive potential of the 8 for material achievement.

The 8 usually expresses a potential to lead rather than to be a cooperating member of a group.

2*9 Usually HARMONIOUS

The potential of the 2 for cooperating and harmonizing is enhanced by the potential of the 9 for giving to others.

(The 2-9 individual must stay aware of his own needs so that he is not completely submerged by his desire to help others.) (The 9 often has trouble expressing its positive potential and may prefer to receive rather than give. In this case, the potential of the negative 9 would conflict with the potential of the 2.)

2*11 Usually HARMONIOUS

The potential of the 2 for cooperating and harmonizing may be enhanced by the potential of the 11 for idealistic or spiritual achievement. The nervous tension of the 11 will be a partial detriment to the 2 approach.

(Sometimes, the potential of the 2 is expressing on a relatively mundane level, while the potential of the 11 is expressing on a high spiritual level, thereby causing a conflict.)

2-22 Usually DISCORDANT

The potential of the 2 for being a cooperating and harmonizing member of a group conflicts with the potential of the 22 for leading the way to substantial material achievement. The nervous tension of the 22 will act as a further detriment to the 2 approach.
