At maturity, a new (and difficult) sub-lesson is introduced: learning the beauty of giving of oneself solely for the deep satisfaction of giving, without thought of reward or return. Since the 9 energy hasn't been a factor in the life up to this time, it's likely that little attention has been paid to this high-level lesson. At maturity, there's apt to be a shift in the life, bringing a new awareness of selfless giving to center stage. This shift may be due to one of the following:
• a new spiritual awareness, OR
• the realization that selfishness and the resultant lack of giving has not given the individual a sense of satisfaction, OR
• an experience of selfless giving by the individual (or to the individual) that brings deep satisfaction, OR
• an experience with a humanitarian person or group which opens the eyes to a perception of the satisfaction.
At this time in the life, the individual is likely to face some decisions about attitudes and actions in regard to selfless giving in order to feel a sense of deeper satisfaction.
