Inherent genetic disorders may occur with a conjunction between Pluto and the Ascendant, or a person may tend to inherit the health problems of his or her mother, father or grandparents. For instance, if there is a strong family history of cancer, the individual should get checkups and maintain a careful, well-balanced diet to prevent this potential disease. Cellular disturbance, disintegration, tumors, cysts, fibrous tissue or any other kind of replicative activity may manifest.
Endocrine disorders may also occur if Pluto is conjunct the Ascendant, especially if Pluto is in the First House.
Pluto conjunct the Ascendant in the Twelfth House, however, is more medically threatening. This position may pose several problems. For example, if by solar arc progression Pluto comes into the First House, it may mean a chronic ailment coming to light or the beginning of treatment for an ailment that has simmered beneath the surface for many years. Pluto in the Twelfth House also may mean potential hidden endocrine problems. That is, the doctor has probably overlooked the glands as the potential reason for a certain ailment.
