Lysistrata, asteroid 897 (the 897th asteroid to be discovered, on August 3, 1918), is approximately 46 kilometers in diameter and has an orbital period of 4.1 years. It was named after the heroine of the Greek comedy Lysistrata. Lysistrata led a revolt of women across Greece, who as a group withheld sexual favors until the men agreed to stop war. Lysistrata represents the healing as well as the manipulative power of sex. The sign and house position of this planetoid in a natal chart indicates how and where this power manifests for each individual.
