Justitia, asteroid 269 (the 269th asteroid to be discovered, on September 21, 1887), is approximately 35 kilometers in diameter and has an orbital period of 4.2 years. Justitia is a "concept" asteriod. Its name is a personified form of justice. In a natal chart, Justitia's location by sign and house position indicates where one gives or receives justice. When afflicted by inharmonious aspects, Justitia can show injustice or rigid, legalistic justice. If prominent in a natal chart (e.g., conjunct the Sun or the ascendant), it may show an exceptionally fair person or someone for whom justice is a dominant life theme.
